Examining concepts of race, class, culture, ethnicity, colourism, separatism, belonging, supremacy, identity, & the effects of British colonialism.

Some books have these themes incidentally, but in most they are the core focus.

Everything you need to know about the current moment: the argument for open borders - stories from undocumented Americans - immigrant life in the US - the political, environmental, and social conditions that cause people to immigrate - fiction about immigrants, immigration, forced assimilation etc.

Me & White Supremacy by Layla F. Saad, and books from as many of the authors mentioned therein that I could find. (Including books from the Further Learning section.)

I bought a guided reading journal for more grounded reflection and a way to wind down at night (and a cute incentive to take my time with reading and not feel guilty about it). Surprise, the journal has recommendations in the back! I figured I'd share just in case anyone else was interested/had the same journal and wanted a list on here too!

Found these recommended as reads for white people during Black Lives Matter to help become a better and less racist person. Mostly black anti-racism but some others included. Im no expert so please add suggestions or updates!
