i am so sorry but these feel like different characters… and not in a character growth way
Liz and Wes are back! This is not what I expected from book 2, but I still love these two! And I really love how Lynn doesn't tell you the background before Liz knows it! It really helps us to see the sadness and challenges in their relationship while also rooting them on.
i’m ngl this did not hit like i was hoping it would :/ i just felt like the whole plot felt vv forced and unnecessary. as a unl student tho, i love being able to actually picture every part of omaha
I strongly disliked this book. I didn’t like the characters but Liz was really acting like a spoilt little girl. Wes really didn’t handle the situation well, he was way too casual about everything most of the time but I get where he came from. But apparently Liz had the hardest time trying to understand how everything felt for him.
“I’d never be sure if she was my type—have I always had a fondness for redheads with green eyes?—or if she created my type. She was the prototype. There was only her.”
This book was everything. Wes and Liz are everything to me, and I would do anything to stay in their universe forever. They have changed my life, and all I want now is a relationship like theirs

didn’t have to be 400 pages long for a sequel tho. in between by gracie mentioned made it a 3.5.
♥️✍
After reading several negative reviews of this book, I was really worried I wouldn't enjoy the continuation of Wes and Liz's story. Maybe I'm just an easy to please reader because I loved the book ❤️
The original is better than the sequel in this case
I enjoyed this just as much as the first, but having said that, it was a sequel that I didn’t feel was needed. Though the storyline made perfect sense and gave me more of the couple I feel in love with in Better Than The Movies, I would have been happy without a second book.
It was a really easy listen and despite what I’ve just said I would recommend giving it a listen because Lynn Painter’s writing is up there as one of my favourites to read.
