Finally some good fucking worldbuilding
SFF with worldbuilding that informs the plot, prose, characters, and underlying narrative in deeply meaningful, intentional, and complex ways, so much so that changing the world means changing the shape of the story itself. Or: worldbuilding that goes beyond simple set dressing and becomes a vehicle for the story and narrative. Always open to recs and suggestions! β€οΈ

Language in SFF
hello language nerds :D this list is for any sci-fi or fantasy that involves language! i wanna keep the criteria for this is pretty loose, so examples that might fit could include (but arenβt limited to):
-an author creating a new language for their story (think elvish in tolkienβs middle-earth or the belter creole from the expanse)
-an author using the study of linguistics in their story (like rf kuangβs babel)
language or linguistics just needs to play an important role in the story!
