Recs if you like Raiders of the Lost Heart...

A subgenre that I'm absolutely loving. Please let me know if you have any suggestions!

I'm big into the theme of stories having archaeological plots. Even if the story isn't fully centered on archaeology--if it has a hint of it or similar fields of study--I'm in love. These stories might not have the same feel as "the Mummy" or "Indiana Jones", but they will have a hint of archaeological-adjacent themes smattered within at least.

AMOR❤️ A collection of romance books by Latinx authors. Includes all types of romance (fantasy, gothic, YA, adult, contemporary, lgbtq+, etc.).

I chose not to display multiple books from the same author and also picked the first in the "series" (if applicable) only. This is to introduce you to the author and the series, that way you can look into each further if you'd like! 🥰

For readers who believe every excavation deserves a little sexual tension. Featuring archaeologists, historians, treasure hunters, ancient curses, and enough unresolved feelings to fill a tomb. Come for the artifacts, stay for the kissing.

I hope this doesn’t find you by Ann Liang introduced me to the rivals to lovers trope so these are the books I found while desperately trying to fill the hole in my heart! (Some of these books contain spice and some of them don’t, so make sure you check whether they do or don’t according to your preference)

The stakes are high and the tension even higher. The romance is unavoidable. This list has a focus where the two MCs are forced to be rivals. M/F romance with a variety of spice levels including YA and closed door so there should be a bit for everyone.
