Talking to other people isn't Kate Bailey's favorite activity. She'd much rather be out on the lake, soaking up the solitude and sunshine. So when her best friend, Alana, convinces Kate to join their high school's podcast, Kate is not expecting to be chosen as the host. Now she'll have to answer calls and give advice on the air? Impossible. But to Kate's surprise, she turns out to be pretty good at the hosting gig. Then the podcast gets in a call from an anonymous guy, asking for advice about his unnamed crush. Kate is pretty sure that the caller is gorgeous Diego Martinez, and even surer that the girl in question is Alana. Kate is excited for her friend ... until Kate herself starts to develop feelings for Diego. Suddenly, Kate finds that while doling out wisdom to others may be easy, asking for help is tougher than it looks, and following your own advice is even harder. Kasie West's adorable story of secrets, love, and friendship is sure to win over hearts everywhere.

Another great cutesy read from Kasie West *u* Idk what it is about fluffy summer romances, but they just make me so happy ♥
West has proved herself plenty of times to be a great writer of banter and funny interactions + all of her romance scenes are always cute and not cringey at all. Another thing I liked is that she always adds something original, something different to her stories. This time, the main theme was a podcast and it was so interesting. I have never listened to a podcast before, but after this book I definitely want to :D
*while we're on this topic, if anyone knows a good podcast, please recommend it in the comments *u*
The characters were all quite good. West has a lot of books and not all of them are good - some unfortunately have undeveloped characters. This time that was not the case. I really liked Kate and I especially liked Diego. He was cute, smart, a good listener and generally a nice person. Kate annoyed me a bit in the beginning but she grew on me later. I liked how she did things that were generally not in her comfort zone. She may not be good at them, but she still tried and that was what mattered. When it comes to the secondary characters - I liked both Alana and Frank. Alana was certainly an interesting character. She made some mistakes but she didn't let them ruin their friendship and she tried to make amends. The same goes for Kate. There was a certain situation but they solved it nicely.
Another great aspect of this book is the family interactions. Kate has a lot of cousins and siblings + the family atmosphere was on point because this book also has great parent moments. To sum up, it's short and sweet and perfect for summer :)
