Get the party together, we're going questing!
D&D-esque inspired list. Ive seen a bunch but not exactly what I was looking for, which is essentially, "rag-tag team of misfits with different powers/strengths go on a quest and get into shenanigans" I.e. Legends and Latte wouldn't fit here because they're not questing. Also avoiding lit r.p.g like Dungeon Crawler Carl cause that feels like cheating ๐

Thieves. Thieves ! All of them lie !
As the name suggests this list is for my beloved fantasy thieves and criminals, lying, cheating, charming, their way out of situations. Yet we root for them, we love them.

Fantasy Heist Novels
Aka my favourite fantasy subgenre where we get both magic and intricate plannings to pull off something previously thought impossible (usually a break-in of some kind) and often everything then turns out to be much more complicated than previously thought
(For series I only included the first book of each)

Books that Feel Like a Good Heist Movie
recently gotten really obsessed with heists/heist movies (if anyone can find anything that scratches the same itch โThe Stingโ does I would be forever grateful) and Iโm trying to collect books with similar feels/themes. very very open to suggestions.

Heists out of this world
Who doesn't love a good heist? Now what if there was magic? Or pirates? Or knights and kings? In this list you'll find stories set in fantastical worlds that feature or revolve around a heist. Also includes the occasional conmanship or mission that might not technically be a heist but has a very similar feeling. Recs and feedback always welcome <3

Underrated sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and spec fic
These are books Iโve read and enjoyed that I donโt see talked about much and think are criminally underrated! Most are under 5000 ratings on goodreads, with a few exceptions

Game Dev Authors
You've Played Their Games, Now Read Their Books. I'll try to list two of the devs/authors' books independent from their work on games first if possible. Feel free to recommend books, or ask which games the authors worked on
