Heist Society by Ally Carter. it's young adult but i remember it being a fun read!
added! thank you for the rec 🫶
ran here to rec this just to find your comment - ty for the good work 🫡
i've never heard of this series 😭 thank you both for bringing it to my attention
i liked the heist society series but i loveddddd the gallagher girls series more (same author). all girls spy school - there are some heists sprinkled throughout the series but they’re not the main focus like in HS
i got us covered 😮💨 i also loved the Gallagher Girls series!! it was a fave
Oh this is fuun!! I recommend Foundryside by Robert Jackson Bennett!
as a lover of heist movies i felt compelled to compile books in the genre! this one sounds interesting 👀 thank you for the rec!
One could argue that the first Mistborn novel, later named The Final Empire, by Brandon Sanderson, is mostly a heist story ;-)
A heist(s) book I found pretty funny and very well made is The Hot Rock by Donald E. Westlake.
this suddenly made me interested in sanderson's works.. thank you for the recs!
Thank you for adding them and being so nice! Regarding Sanderson, I only read the Mistborn trilogy, and I liked it of course. But second and third books are in some ways fairly different from the first, which works very well as a standalone.
i feel like i only see people be super positive or super negative about his works 😭 i've been really debating reading him but i'm gonna put this on my tbr for sure
A Tempest of Tea is a heist book? OMG I HAVE TO READ IT RIGHT NOW! I love this list!
it's also what drew me to it 🫡
lies of lock lamora is a heist book! its fantasy :]
another series i've never heard of! thank you for the rec
Portrait of a Theif by Grace D. Li is a story about a heist to reclaim five Chinese sculptures!
i have this on my tbr yet forgot to add it ☠️ thank you for reminding me about it!
A Million to One by Adiba Jaigirdar
another book i have on my tbr that i didn't add 🫣 thank you for reminding me of its existence!
Loot by Jude Watson and Aces Wild: A Heist by Amanda DeWitt would be perfect for this list! (I feel like I could probably think of others but those are the two that I remembered off the top of my head)
both added 📝 i don't usually read middle grade but the idea of a middle grade heist novel is interesting so i am 👀 at loot... might add them both to my tbr as well! thank you for the recs!
Sure! Tbh I wasn't a big fan of Loot so I wouldn't recommend it recommend it but it fit the theme so 🤷♂️ (I gave it 3 stars, it wasn't terrible but it also wasn't great imo)
Medici Heist by Caitlin Schneiderhan and The Sky on Fire by Jenn Lyons
historical heist and a heist with dragons 👀 interesting. thank you for the recs 🫶
Anytime!
I love this!! Thanks for making a list for this one 👀😍
this list would be absolutely barebones without all the amazing recs 😭 i didn't realize how many fantasy heist books there were out there
I love that! I would definitely keep this list for my read 🥰
The Stardust Grail by Yume Kitasei!
space heist?? sign me up. thank you so much for the rec!
What a great list! Recommending Hammajang Luck by Makana Yamamoto, and River of Teeth by Sarah Gailey
both added 🫶 i've heard of the first one but not the second. it sounds really interesting though
LOVE a heist this is great!
