For a contemporary romance book, the prose is so beautiful. I really like the writing.

hello lovely PB folks
i wanna know which series you have completely unintentionally (or intentionally) abandoned, bc i hope i'm not the only one to have unfinished series in her shelf 💀 rip
and i don't mean series you have DNF'ed bc they turned out to not be your taste, i mean like series you started reading and ended up actually liking. maybe also even already getting the sequel to continue but then for it to end up on your TBR bc other books where just more interesting 💀😭
for me it's the Caraval, The Prison Healer and Daughter of the Pirate King Series 🥲 for all these series i already own the 2nd book but they've ended up on my TBR 💀 and i fear they'll continue to be there for a while 😬 i still wanna read them tho!
spill the tea guys, which series are still waiting for you to finish them and why 😔

This is a bit random but I just really wanted to give this community a huge thank you and virtual hug🫂
Since joining last year I’ve had such a great time opening this app (multiple times😅) everyday, finding new reads, and chatting with lots of amazing folks! I’m postpartum right now and I can’t say enough about how PB has been a huge support and comfort for me during really tough moments. It has been an anchor to helping me stay interested in books and reading, which helps prevent my blues from spiraling into deep depression. I love having this digital third space and am really thankful for it and all of you🥹

When you guys think of an “unreliable narrator,” who do you first think of? What books/characters?
I had made a post about this topic on the Mockingjay forum as well but thought it would be interesting to ask here. I have seen Katniss referred to as an unreliable narrator before but I personally disagree, won’t go into detail in here again lol but just made me curious as to who everyone else thinks of. I personally think of The Yellow Wallpaper or Life of Pi.

“You’re hot,” she’d said, before he could even open his mouth. “Are you seeing anyone?”
Feyi wasting no time with pleasantries. i admire a girl who gets straight to the point and goes after what she wants.
