Oh, but this is darker and kinda more leaning towards horror than One Dark Window. This whole scene was straight out of a horror movie!

I'm loving this re-read, because I'm catching all the subtle foreshadowing and some terrain prep for Mistborn Era 2 (there's a character much more active there that I didn't remember was already present in this book!). Also, the twists in this book are SO GOOD!

Well, this was precious! An short insight into Perihelion/ARTs relationship with its human and its feelings for Murderbot after they met. It's a great way to follow up book 5 and before book 7, IMO!

Well, I am delighted! A great mix of an good, different premise, engaging writing, with lots of humor and interesting characters, a brilliant plot twist and a whole lot of heart. I lapped it up almost in one go, and had so much fun! I'm a cat person all the way and now I'm a bit worried about my cats hahaha Maybe I should buy them those buttons? Anyways, if you're looking for a short standalone between more dense, dark reads, this is DEFINITELY it!

So I was taking a look at where I am at with my reading goals for the year, and was curious how everyone is doing with theirs.
Have you hit yours yet? And if not, how many do you have to go? Do you think you will be able to hit them? Are you doing any additional challenges outside the total books you read? Any changes you may make for next year's goals? Tell me all the details 💗
I technically have two reading goals, one on Page Bound and one on Bookmory, another app where I track things and keep notes on my books. Just because I do track Wattpad or other online reads, and so I do that there. As well as some random Free Ebooks and KU reads, that I may not want to post online lol 😂
So for Page Bound, I am at 140/200 And for my other goal, I am at 236/250.
I'm hoping to hit my Page Bound Goal, and think I will (🤞🍀), though probably not until mid-late December. And I think next year I am going to lower the goals a bit, because there are a lot of longer reads on my TBR for 2026, plus I am hoping to go back to school for a semester.
This year, I also decided to do 6 reading prompt challenges from Book Riot's 'Read Harder' reading log (the physical book), and so far, I have done 4, and am in the middle of finishing 5 and 6. So I might try to do a few more before the year is done. 💗

Earlier this year I read a book in which each character specialized in a certain “catalog” in a library and that got me thinking what would be my catalog? A catalog feels really big so let’s slim it down to a shelf. I’ll set the scene.
Scene: A visitor walks into a library where there are many rows of tall inviting shelves and a wide variety of books. They approach the librarian and say, “I need help finding ...words inaudible...”. They stand up with a big grin, and say, “I know exactly the shelf”. The Librarian directs the visitor to your shelf, what kind of book/books does the visitor find?
My shelf is full of cookbooks with my favorite recipes but every time you use the recipe the ingredient list changes slightly because I always forget what ingredients I use.

Charlie's too nice for his own good...but I'm sensing that with will do him good? Idk, I'm still confused (like he himself is, poor guy). But I'm finding everything super funny.

hey pagebound! i was wondering... who here has recipes inspired by books or recipes that came directly from books/their authors? i'm so curious if anyone's done that. what drew you to that recipe or inspired its creation? did you conjure it up yourself? i'd love to know and how the food turned out :D i want all you chefs and bakers to reveal yourselves! 🫵😋
or have you read about food in a book and thought, "man, i wish i could devour that right now!"? (ehm, i might be a bit hungry at the moment...)

Wow, so this book is making me more emotional than I thought. I love the humour in this and how the author can talk about andiety, depression and human struggles with such a subtle way and without losing the chaotic tone of the novel! Also, yay for short chapters!
