I went in thinking it was a memoir and then having to switch up my perspective and read it as fictional. As I said in the forum the time setting kinda put it into a weird place for me, I think itâs patronising in a way to make it so modern readers relate with mobile phones and instagram etc, I understand the want to make it more understandable and relatable but it was just a bit off. I also felt it was slightly shallow because it wasnât a true memoir it didnât quite have the emotional depth i was looking for. But overall a sweet little middle grade graphic novel

Iâm slightly confused/less immersed at the minute because itâs unclear if itâs supposed to be memoir/autobiographical because of the updated technology. I know this is to make it more relatable to modern day children but also Iâm just unsure of what theyâre trying to put across. I think from here on out Iâll just read it as fiction. If youâve read this how did you read it tone-wise?

Post from the Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers (A Vera Wang Novel) forum
Obviously very early days in how much Iâve read but the prose is eerily similar to Thursday murder club that I had to check which was written first. But also it is old person pov so maybe old people be like that /hj

Whether you love to hate or hate to love 'em, these literary bad girls are anything but well-behaved. *Disclaimer: we do not literally support the illegal and oft cruel behavior of these protagonists (usually); we support the authors bold enough to write them (always).
