Stella The last thing I expected was to find my boyfriend in bed with one of my best friends. Their betrayal sent me on the next flight back to my home town in Vermont. The plan was to take the summer to find myself. No dating and no distractions. But when my brother’s roommate asks me to come to Canada with him for the summer, I find myself saying yes. I’ve never been one to turn down an adventure and how could I possibly deny Simon Murray with those steel gray eyes and dimples he has? Simon When Stella came back to Vermont with her heart broken, I needed to find a way to cheer her up. Taking her to Canada with me was the first thing I could think of. It was a perfect change of scenery for her to find herself. She agreed and we headed north with no plans of involving ourselves with each other. There was an attraction neither of us could deny and when we found ourselves in a different country sharing an apartment with one bed, the dynamic shifted. It was just a temporary arrangement for the short summer months. So, why did I find myself wanting her to move coast to coast to be with me?

Stella returns home to California from visiting her family in Vermont to find her boyfriend in bed with her best friend. Crushed and lost, she returns to Vermont following the end of the school year and intends to use the summer to discover who she is and what she wants. Since her brother is moving in with his girlfriend, she is going to move into his room in the house where he was living with his roommates, Simon and Lincoln.
Simon's eyes are on hockey and making it to the NHL. To help that goal, he is going to a month-long camp in Canada. He and Stella have been flirty and had one encounter, so there is no way he is leaving her alone with Lincoln while he goes to camp, so he invites her to go with him. She agrees and they road trip to Canada. When they get there, they are in an apartment that was supposed to have two bedrooms, but instead they end up sharing a bed. Soon they are sharing a lot more. But when some real truths (and real love) come out, will they be able to hold on to a future that neither one of them was sure that they wanted but now can't live without?
I love, love, loved these characters and how they both grew throughout the story. Stella wasn't doing anything that a lot of people have done in trying to deal with growing up and not feeling like you had a place in the world (I can SO relate!) or that you mattered to anyone, but she also felt like everyone was judging her for the decisions that she had made. I did like that by the end of the book she was being open and honest about her feelings, even when they were hard. And Simon learned that it was okay to make plans, but also that he could give his heart away and not consider it lost, that someone could protect it for him too.
This world and these men just keep getting better and better!!! Oh man Simon is what every girl hopes for. He is so perfectly imperfect, and in 3 short hours , I fell in love with him ! And Stella, ahh, she is the best! I loved the snip it of all the other hockey boys and their girls!! 5 stars isn't nearly enough. I can't wait to see what's in store next!! 10/10 recommended
