Recs if you like Sorcery and Small Magics...

You liked Harry Potter but you’re angry at the author for being a huge transphobe and you would like some alternatives because you don’t want to give money to her so she can finance transphobia and you have enough of Harry Potter’s racist stereotypes like Cho Chang and other problematic themes in this saga? You’re in the right place! I haven’t read all, if some are misplaced, let me know! Also, if you want more fantasy recs, I have a queer fantasy list! It is addressed to different ages.

When the love story and the world building go hand in claw. For series, only the first book is listed.

All sorts of magic including - Wizards, warlocks, druids, alchemists, etc…

I took a very large take, and I hope you’ll enjoy!! 😊

For series, I only put the first book.

This is like literary sorbet, books that are simple, sweet, and pretty easy to digest when you want to turn your brain off, decompress after a big, intense book, or break out of a reading slump.

Some are literary, some are genre, all are lovely queer quests and adventures. Journeys of the psyche and physical hunts. The best stories are about finding… Read and Recommended

Please be mindful when making recommendations: If discrimination appears in the book it must be critiqued within the book, and please don’t rec books with on page SA, death by suicide, or excessive gore.

A list of all the books featured as monthly picks for the Fairyloot Adult Sub. ◽️ Not Including sequels or special editions outside of the monthly sub.◽️ I will include new books about a month after release to avoid spoilers.

Books on my TBR with LGBTQIA+ characters or themes.

Dark Academia's lighter and cozier counterpart. Mostly fantasy and nature books.

Books where two (or more? if these exist I WANT THEM) characters are bound up in some way—inside each other's heads, connected by a spell, entangled by technology—the important part is the forced proximity and the element of technology or magic, or something else over the top that would not normally happen! And maybe they're in love or they fall in love as well...

100% open to recommendations, I want to know about ANY books you think might fit 🙏

Books with main characters (or love interests) that are hissy and rude/prickly but deep down it’s because they are sensitive little cupcakes who are afraid of being hurt and just want some love and affection 🥺

Open to suggestions!

I love plot-forward fantasy with a lil romance 🫶🏻

So if you’re looking for a fantasy book that’s got a unique magic system and a well-crafted plot (with varying degrees of romance), then maybe these will be for you!

Recommendations are welcome, I’m always on the hunt for more to read !!
