Haven’t read the others but I’d second The Long Say to a Small, Angry Planet - I read it recently and loved!!
Love the list! A Spear Cuts Through Water by Simon Jimenez might fit the theme.
I absolutely love this recommendation (love love this book), but having seen the caveat/restriction on your Club post, @tendingverses, would recommend checking content warnings for this! I believe it contains much of the content you’re trying to avoid. Maybe repost those requirements here on the list somewhere as well?

I love this list!! Here’s a suggested add: the Montague Siblings series by Mackenzi Lee.

I will add the caveat that there is mention of a past suicide attempt in books 1 and 3, and pretty intense depiction of severe anxiety from the narrator (with some talk of self-harm) in 3. But the theme of the series can be pretty well summed up as “There is life after survival,” so it’s about recovering and living a full, happy, adventurous, queer life!
Thank you, I need to reread the series before deciding. I remember feeling weird about how race was handled in book one, and I need to remind myself of book two. They definitely fit the quest other than that, though.
