Recs if you like Essays...

I know you've all been eager to get the third volume of my french lit starter pack saga. Be honest, not having it has kept you up for many nights right ? 😏 Anyways, this one is more inspired by my life, what I've had to read for school, what my parents liked to read, books I've read on recommendations, stuff like that. As a result, most of those are pretty dear to my heart, so i hope you'll all enjoy this list especially 🙂‍↕️

Some staples of French literature that might be lesser known in the English-speaking world. List not finished, and all books are available in English. Centuries currently included: 12th to 20th. Genres: Novels, poems, plays, essays.

I created this list in the spirit of one of the central themes of the novel, that being that literature is a conversation through space and time. Writing is a kind of time travel, if only just to the future, and reading is one to the past.

Very niche category but if there are any English Literature students wondering what they will be studying for a little bit this might be useful.
