Recs if you like Canon...

every struggled to find actual lesbian/sapphic books when at the library or bookstore? so did I!

bc of said struggle, I started to curate a personal list of books that either has lesbian MCs and/or featured a primary sapphic romance.

i haven't read all of these, but I do try my diligence in confirming that they meet the above perimeters, since many books claim to be sapphic when they're not. this is an ever updating list, only fiction for now!

Book covers with typography oriented in non-standard alignments, instead of the typical horizontal + left to right text alignment. Or: graphic design is my passion, and today we are learning about text paths 🙂‍↕️. This is an immensely silly List, and always open to suggestions—vertical text, circular, upside down, anything goes!

We should all be reading queer, all year, but this list is full of upcoming queer books of all makes and models coming out in 2026. If you have a rec to add, just please keep in mind we’re looking for 2026 releases!

Suggestions always welcome! SFF books written to be humorous, satiric, or otherwise meant to entertain and make readers laugh. (This was a quest idea i was thinking about, but I'm not committed enough to this to make it)

Novels for when you want to explore religious trauma and the impacts of religion through fiction. For nonfic, see my list “From saint to sinner: religious deconstruction”

Suggestions are welcome!

It’s a cruel irony that taking a sick day means being at home with nothing to do, but very little brain power with which to read.

Enter this list, a collection of books from various genres that don’t require too much brain power but are still GOOD. Accessible prose, storylines that aren’t overly convoluted, and often short chapters or frequent break points. And of course, easy to pick back up after dozing off!

Suggestions welcome!

Get ready to meet a diverse cast of nonbinary characters who are the protagonists of their own stories. Recommendations welcome!

Here's every book so far from BOTM's monthly shortlist since February 2015 for anyone who wants to read them all like I do!

All the 2026 BOTM monthly, add on, and Allurial titles

this list features upcoming books that feature sapphic MCs or romance and are releasing in 2026!

I got a request for a list of sapphic fiction/romances with ambiguous covers that wouldn't be flagged by their country's customs and subsequently tossed. Thought I'd post it here, in case it might benefit someone else!

Satisfy your reading cravings with books that look just as sweet, refreshing, and perfectly pink as your favorite iced beverage.Perfect matches for café reading dates. Shamelessly yoinked from a certain other reading app that shall not be named... this is a list of recently published (2025-2026) LGBTQ+ fiction across a spectrum of genres and identities!

(Disclaimer: I haven't read most of these, but so many compelling covers made me want to save them all in a list to continue referencing into the future.)

Books that feels like day dreaming, sounds like colors, and looks like an answer just out of reach

A collection of stories that utilize narrative voice in a Particular Way. Often quirky, sometimes funny, and usually impactful to the plot or nature of the novel. Not limited to any particular POV so long as the narrative is distinct. Goes hand-in-hand with an unreliable narrator but not mutually exclusive to one.

This is a very subjective list, but I loooove this vibe in a novel. Recommendations welcome!

A list of what I'm most looking forward to in the second half of 2026, with a focus on mysteries, sci-fi, fantasy, and horror. If you have any recs, please share, particularly if they are queer! 💖

This is one of a few lists I'm making to help me organize my ideas for HRCYED 3.0. Feel free to take inspiration or comment with more ideas.
