It’s such a unique and lyrical book! Glad you like the list; I hope to continue to add more to it!

Ooh, a great book to add would be Hallowed Be Her Flesh by Emryn Bird. It’s got horror, erotica, monsterfuckery. ⛪️

Sooo not sure if these would be what you're looking for in terms of recs but...

I really want to recommend the Prince of Lust series by Lucien Burr because it's awesome and has some deep reflections on religion but it's definitely erotica more than anything 🫣 priest decides to try and free himself from the shackles of Catholicism by... Fucking his way thru hell?

Pray for Him by Tyler Battaglia is also excellent.

Angels Before Man by Rafael Nicolàs is about Lucifer's fall from heaven with a queer twist. Definitely not for the faint of heart but it was incredible 🥺 it's the first in a trilogy.

Thank you so much for the recommendations!! I went ahead and added all of them. All genres are welcome for this list! Any fiction novel (including graphic novels!) that has a major theme involving religious trauma belongs here. I had never heard of any of these books so I’m glad you brought them to my attention!
