Holy hell! I'm such a Sl*t for hockey romances. I mean, who wouldn't want to spend time with a hockey player?? I already knew I was going to like the book by this quote alone "I want to watch you on the ice knowing that my c*m is sliding down your leg." But aside from the spice, this was a very sweet and cute story between Griffin and Jack.
I freaking loved Jack and Griffin's chemistry! Right from when they met at the bar, it was everything! And then when they finally get each other off, it was explosive! But I really loved their development. When we first meet Jack he's the stereotypical ass, but as the book goes on you see a new side of him who is much more lost and trying to find his way in life after leaving professional hockey. What can he do if hockey is not his dream any more? Then there's Griffin, a hopeful hockey superstar that was taken out early due to his eye being taken out by a rival player. Now he lives a calm life as a dad of 2 adorable girls and exploring being gay since he came out later in life.
And the spicy scenes! Jesus, the amount of times I was blushing was insane. At one point, I made my husband listen to the spicy scenes just for his reactions, which are the best!
