Cassia is horrible to Kane??? Was she like this in book 1?

ANOTHER SERIES OFF MY LIST!

Honestly, I wish I had more to say about this, but all I have is that it was utterly forgettable and completely unremarkable. Couldn't tell you much that happened. I just wasn't impressed. I didn't HATE it by any means, like there wasn't too much I ACTIVELY disliked. There's just nothing really to say.

As it's a sequel I won't say too much.

This book focuses heavily on Cassia and Kane. HEAVILY. One thing that would have made this better for me is if it would have had more of the main couple from the first book. I'd bet you between the two of them they have less than 20 lines between the two of them throughout the entire book. And while I'm okay with series that hop from couple to couple, I need the author to remember that I'm also invested in the couples from the previous books and I need to see them too. Think, Lunar Chronicles. Also, Cassia must have beer flavored nipples because all the guys love her.

Pacing was amazing this time. I still felt like this entire book was just a wild ride. So much happened in such a small span of time. I think that's a large part of why I loved this series so much. It was just one thing after another and it was a fun time.

The characters were lovely. I wouldn't be against seeing more of them in the future.

Not as good and exciting as the first one, but really enjoyed many parts of the story and the characters!
