Books that I've read that haven't scarred me emotionally for life as a scaredy cat with an overactive imagination who doesn't love horror but is trying to get into the genre. Please check the content warnings just in case though :)

while i haven't read all of these books, these are some that i'd love to read and that very much give me that kind of thriller, paranormal, sinister vibes that the famed podcast had! for those who also like podcasts like "lore" and "noble blood"

these horror books are safe for tenderhearted cat lovers— they either feature no cats to worry about, cats that remain safe throughout the entirety of the story, or cats who even though endangered (and possibly even hurt), are confirmed to survive and make it to the end of the book with at least one of their nine lives in tact! 😸
