Recs if you like The Keeper of Lost Causes...

All of the books seen on display in Episode 1 of The Vampire Lestat, "Detroit," during Lestat's trip to the independent bookstore in Montreal, encountering some snotty cashiers.

I couldn’t find one and I wanted one. So now I am making one. A new crime adventure, as I have read exactly zero of these on creation of this list.

A collection of mystery books with settings from around the world. Usually written by someone from that area but not always.

Acclaimed or well known books from Scandinavia. Only works that have been translated to English. General vibes are dark, depressive books, some fairytales and crime novels.

So I LOVE the show Cold Case (ilysm Lilly Rush/Scotty Valens). Cold case mystery/thrillers live in that unsettling space where justice failed the first time, and the world moved on as if the truth didn’t matter. These stories, like the show, return to those forgotten crimes years, even decades later, when a detective, journalist, podcaster, or relentless outsider decides to dig deeper. #tacklingunfinishedbusiness #coldcases
