the things i do for henry cavill… it was really hard for me to get into this, it just didn’t have that je ne sais quoi. a lot of characters are thrown at you (most with indeterminate personalities), argylle’s character especially was a flat as his hair. there’s a haze in between events, maybe because the chapters are pretty start/stop. part one was a bit of a slog fest, the rest was better. a good amount of indiana jones and super spy cliches, some worked and some didn’t. the locations were interesting and the action bits were pretty good but it just all felt disjointed.
