My job was simple…Get the interview of the biggest bosshole in the tech industry, write the report, then head home. Nevermind he’s the brother of my best friend. The boy who terrorized me back in school not so long ago. I could kick myself for agreeing to this interview. Trent has known two things in the Technology can be molded in your hands easily and so could women. So when I find myself trapped in a room with him during a power outage, we’re forced to pass the time together. He wasn’t supposed to make my heart skip a beat. It has been quite the turn of events since yesterday. One minute I’m dreading my interview with Trent and the next I’m willing to defend him to the point of losing my job. Fingers crossed it doesn’t come to that.

Rae loves her job as a journalist for a major technology magazine. But when her boss assigns her next job, she's less than thrilled. He wants her to go to California to interview Trent about his company. Trent is also her best friend's brother and her high school bully nemesis. To say things don't go the way either of them planned when she arrives for the interview is an understatement. When they are trapped together in the dark for an extended period of time, Rae and Trent find out that there is much more that lies beneath the surface for both of them. As they learn more about each other, can they find their way to something more permanent? Great characters with a great story.
