All things written by Tahereh Mafi. Tahereh is an Iranian-American Author, best known for her YA dystopian series Shatter Me. She has many great books both in YA and middle grade that also spread across multiple genres.

She is also a mom to her young daughter with husband Ransom Riggs, another fellow author.

These books will keep you up at night, make you double check the locks on your doors and encourage you to take self defense lessons. (All books are spice free and suitable for ages 13 and up in my opinion)
