Recs if you like Drag Me Up (Gods of Hunger, #1)...

A list of books with trans/nonbinary/non-cis gods and demigods. (Title is a quote from "Godly Heathens")

Title wip, but queer retellings of Greek mythology

I love reading romances between men and women where one or both of the characters are bi because it shows the potential of bi people to fall in love with any gender, if that makes sense. So often bi people in “straight” relationships don’t get clocked as LGBTQ+ and I like seeing how they make a “straight” relationship queer. It’s also nice to read about LGBTQ+ outside of achillian and sapphic stories and spaces. I’m always on the hunt for more.

adult genre romance stories where at least one main character is trans and/or non-binary! i haven’t necessarily read or recommend all the books included here; please lmk if anything is incorrect. Also this list is white and transmasc leaning so def please leave any recs in the comments! i’ve mainly excluded erotica, as my goal for this list is genre romance, but most books listed do contain sexual scenes (varying levels of explicitness)

🏳️‍🌈 bisexual books for bi babes - ain't no lie, baby, bi bi bi

My favourite books or from my TBR by BIPOC authors in a range of different genres (though I primarily read fantasy and romance) (only first book for a series added, unless not directly linked)

a collection of the "smut of the month" books featured on the Reading Smut podcast hosted by Brea Grant and Mallory O'Meara. "a show about spicy books and the people who love them!"

All the books covered on the monthly deep-dive episodes of the Reading Smut podcast. More will be added as episodes drop.

Books that retell the story of Hades and Persephone or are inspired by Hades and Persephone

Why do we love a casino so much? Why are we so into ladies being wagered by the idiot men in their lives? What makes these places that are so not sexy in real life so incredibly hot in a) James Bond movies, b) heist movies, and c) historical romances? We’re getting to the bottom of it.

A lot of sex scenes with transgender characters can feel uncomfortable to read, especially if it's leaning into fetishizing. These ones navigate it well, have a cute romance to go with, and feel realistic or are written well.

I cannot guarantee all of these will be comfortable for everyone, but I'll be adding ones me and/ or my partner liked and felt comfortable with (or at least they could capture the discomfort associated with the act)

Will add to with time

Please let me know if there are any I should add.

Books in fantasy, romance and everything in between that have queer rep in their main cast and supporting characters. Always welcome to more recommendations!

Retellings and reimaginings of stories and influences from various mythos and pantheons (only putting the first book in each series)

Before I started reading for real, I had no interest in Greek Mythology, however I discovered that I absolutely LOVE it. So here is a list for myself and others that enjoy it as well.

Books that have been read and discussed on the Podcast "Reading Smut" hosted by Brea Grant and Mallory O’Meara.

I started listening to this podcast in June of 2024, and by October I started actually reading some of the books they cover on the podcast. This list is for me to keep track of which books I have and have not read from their podcast.

If you like romance this podcast is for you, they cover it all, and if they haven't covered your niche yet, i know it is coming in the future.

Romance and fantasy romance books written by authors of the diaspora where we get to see Black woman loved like they're supposed to be (only first book for a series added, unless not directly linked)

Mythology retellings (Greek/Roman), and book set in Ancient Greece or Rome.
