Recs if you like The Wolf and His King...

I'm sure some of these are already on your TBR, so might as well add some more! Let me know if I am missing any of your favorites!

We should all be reading queer, all year, but this list is full of upcoming queer books of all makes and models coming out in 2026. If you have a rec to add, just please keep in mind we’re looking for 2026 releases!

This is a brochure from my library, fully their creation and I wanted to share what they made. Lots of the same books as the medieval quests we have but hopefully something new for you too!

Because hot people summer in the past 💅

If we are going to do Qwordy's the Hardest Reading Challenge You'll Ever Do 3.0 - we should probably get some Pagebound badges along the way! I'm specifically going to be adding books from Quests and readalongs that go past the July start date and match at least one of these title prompts: Periodic Table, Familial Terms, Rainbow of Words (also Joseph's coat), Numerical Titles, Titular Counting 5+, Pun in the Title, and First & Last Name in the Title. Recommendations welcome!

These books utilize first person, second person, and third person perspective- ideally all three but books with some combination of the three are also included.

Just a list of books coming out in 2026 that I’m really excited for :) it will be updated as the months go by! It will be a mix of: high fantasy, romance fantasy, sci-fi, gothic, horror, lit fic, historical fiction, retellings, poetry, romance, & more!!

queer werewolf (or otherwise wolf-themed) books. please make recommendations!! Originally began as a comps list for my upcoming novella but I'm pretty sure it's a standalone special interest now

If we are going to do Qwordy's the Hardest Reading Challenge You'll Ever Do 3.0 - we should probably get some Pagebound badges along the way! I'm specifically going to be adding books from Quests and readalongs that I think matches at least one of these cover prompts: craft, food, motion, biomes/landscapes, animals, weather.

LGBTQ+ Books, novellas, graphic novels and anthologies featuring lgbtq+ knights, paladins or warriors in the main cast!

Not a comprehensive list, definitely open to suggestions. I'll try to update this fairly often! This list features a wide variety of genres and representations!

So, you like your fantasy with a historical-ish setting; perhaps even a dash of gothic yearning here and there. I've got you bestie.

Just a place for me to collect gay as fuck (and trans as fuck) wolfery or adjacent things!

bodyguards, knights & royal guards

July is Disability Pride Month! Here's a big pile of books with disabled characters. All the books also have at least one queer character, and in most cases, the queer character and the disabled character are one and the same. (There are a few non-fiction titles in the mix as well; representation for queerness may be subtext/interpreted). (This list is presented by Duck Prints Press, the indie publisher focused on publishing queer art and stories by queer creators! A group of us collaborate to make these recommendations.)

my reading interests for some LGBTQ sci fi, fantasy, and horror books and series

Romantasy but for the gays. Fantasy in this list includes: magic, fairies/fae, mythical, mystical, supernatural.

"By the breath of Set, what sorcery is this?! These scribes of the far north and the distant west have imagined worlds that almost - almost - match the splendor of my own court. They speak of dragons? I have hunted lions in the heat of the Retjenu! They speak of rings of power? I wear the crown of the Two Lands, which binds the world from the Delta to the cataracts of Kush! Still... there is a certain charm to these 'high fantasies' that I can not deny."

Queer retellings of myths (or historical events? It's kinda just vibes tbh)

You howl, I howl, we all howl for werewolves!
