Recs if you like Dolly Parton, Songteller: My Life in Lyrics...

In honor of our queen Dolly Parton's tragic passing, I present to you, a list that includes books she has shared she loved, books that give me Dolly vibes, books she herself has written and books about her... basically just a big ol' Dolly appreciation list. Recommendations welcome!! In the meantime, pour one out for an icon, you'll catch me watching Steel Magnolias and sobbing. Rest in power, Dolly.

Memoirs where the audiobook is narrated by the author

Books written by or about the late and great Dolly Parton. She was such a talented, gorgeous, caring person.

full-cast audio dramas have their place, and celebrity narrators are fun to recognize, but sometimes it's better to hear it in the author's voice, literally.

I have been collecting (and reading) a long list of memoirs, autobiographies and biographies about women who had fascinating lives. I thought I might as well make it a list! A lot of them I have read and enjoyed, some are from my TBR. I am especially fascinated by 18th-19th century women's stories, so there will be a lot of those. And women from diverse backgrounds. Open to suggestions!

from fiction to memoirs and everything in between, all of these books were written by (mostly recognizable) musicians!

As always, recommendations for additional titles are super appreciated! 🫶🏻

Non-fiction about your favourite bands and artists. Daisy Jones and The Six vibes, but, you know, real.

Suggestions welcome

Country/Bluegrass non-fiction!
