My attempt to get to know manga (and gekiga) though the medium itself. Starting with its roots in the 1940s post-war era and continuing with titles that had a major impact on its development.
Contains only works that are available in English translation. Multi-part works are listed with only the first volume.
My perspective is non-academic and western-influenced: Recommendations and additions are very welcome.
