    Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

I’ve been reading Portia MacIntosh’s books for a while now, I don’t know how many I’ve gone through now, but each book I’ve read I’ve really enjoyed. This book is no exception.

When Olivia’s boyfriend, Teddy proposes to her out of the blue, the only answer is yes. It is sudden, and they don’t even live together, but Olivia feels like she’d be crazy to say no.
Olivia has her heart set on getting married on the Cornish Coast in a barn her grandfather had built. But when news breaks that there is only one date available until they stop doing weddings, only a few weeks away. Olivia isn’t sure about rushing, but Teddy jumps at the chance.
Now with a shared wedding day with her brother and his fiancé, only a few weeks to plan the wedding, and an MIA fiancé, doubts start to eat away at Olivia, making her question whether she’s making the right choice.

Olivia frustrated me a bit on this one. She came across as a bit of a pushover, and felt a bit naive at times. She made silly decisions, and never really spoke her mind, even though she wasn’t being included in the decision making for her own wedding.

That being said, I still loved this book. It had the usual Portia MacIntosh humour, some very cute and sweet moments that’s were to die for, and was overall a really fun and enjoyable read!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this as an ARC. This is my honest review.

this book really pleasantly surprised me!! while it was a rom-com style easy read, i found the plot genuinely original and entertaining, despite it having tropes i’ve seen done badly before. even the ending was refreshing in the sense that it didn’t feel the need to rush a storyline, or change a character’s whole belief system and character arc just to tie everything up neatly. would recommend for a holiday read!!
