    3.5

I have a lot of mixed feelings about this series so far. The first one was easily my favorite.

The thing is, whenever Royce and Hadrian are the focus, I love it. I love them both as characters, but mostly I love them together. They're interesting, entertaining, they have great banter, and their friendship is wonderful. I was screaming at the beginning when Gwen suggested than Hadrian is the person Royce loves most.

The problem lies in that there are so many other characters we switch to that I just don't care about. I find that I zone out a lot and have to rewind or I get confused because I wasn't listening. I do like Arista, but pretty much everyone else? Meh. If this were entirely Royce and Hadrian, I feel like it could be a solid 4 star series for me, maybe even 5.

But things are getting interesting, so I will be continuing with the series for sure. But I have a TON of audiobooks I want to listen to in March, so my guess is I won't pick up the next one until April.
