The wait was so worth it. Hope and the guys have been summoned to the Assembly. I loved seeing her relationships with all of the guys grow stronger, but I really loved the dynamic between her and Lucien. I wanted to shake him, it made my cry at one point, and I loved seeing Hope stand up to him. She didn’t let him just skate on his jerk-ish behaviors. Also the steaminess gets hot, hot, hot! We get answers, but of course there are more questions. The book ends with a surprise, but I wouldn’t call it a cliffhanger. I can’t wait for book 3 to see how all of this plays out!
