Recs if you like Throne of the Crescent Moon...

Books by Muslim authors you should read year round, but even more so this month

it happens to the best of us, you start reading a series that sounds so good and then at some point it just…stops, there’s no final book, no satisfying conclusion, nothing. sometimes this is a deliberate choice an author is making (cough, cough George!) or simply they could not complete the series due to life-altering circumstances.

as always, please drop any suggestions in the comments!!!

instead of medieval europe inspired fantasy all of the time.

Open to recs!

(I removed middle east bc I found out that was the colonial term!)

In honour of the 2026 nominations, this list compiles all the nominees for the Hugo Award for Best Novel from 2010 - 2026.

Bored of fantasy books that are loosely set in Medieval Europe? Me too. Here are some epic, adventurous, mythological, dark, and spellbinding fantasies set in ancient worlds outside of Europe.

A reading list celebrating books by Arab American authors and the many stories, histories, cultures, and imagined worlds they bring to the page. This list was created as a way to expand my own reading beyond the perspectives and experiences most familiar to me.

I am not Arab American, and I do not intend this list to speak for the Arab American community or define the full range of Arab American literature. I welcome recommendations, corrections, and notes from Arab American readers and authors, especially if there are books that should be added or removed.

A fun collection of D&D like adventure books or after adventure stories
