Oh sorry! I missed it lol :,) i haven't read the duology in a few years but it was a really great book and I recommend it!! If you want to add a ya fantasy to your list, you could add silverworld. It’s the first book I ever read with an Arab character!

Thanks! I discovered it in 7th grade when my English teacher assigned me to find a book with a character that represents part of my identity and it was the only one I could find for my age range and it took a lot of searching :,)
Luckily I think there’s been a gradual increase in Arab representation in various genres so that’s good!!

Haven’t looked too closely but I’m interested in a several that are part of quests, but one for sure that is not, Of Sand and Silk.

Yes! I’d definitely recommend We hunt the flame as well. It’s not too romance-heavy (and the yearning is so good) and the story is really engaging. I’d also suggest The city of brass. It’s more complex story-wise, beautifully written, and in my opinion has an absolutely amazing plot.
