learning about my AuDHD
books to help understand a new autism or ADHD diagnosis (or both!)
there is a combination of fiction and non-fiction books, both with real world memoirs and guides written by medical professionals or neurodivergent authors! open to suggestions

Non-Fiction: Gender, Feminism, Intersectionality
Different kinds of non-fiction books about gender, feminism, and related topics. People like black women or neurodivergent women are twice or more marginalised, and often it's not clear whether treatment was due to (for example) skin colour or perceived gender, so I'll add some books about other kinds of marginalisation as well. I haven't read all books (yet); if one is problematic, please tell me so in a comment!

On autism and other forms of neurodivergence
Books discussing any topic related to neurodivergence, with main focus on autism and AuDHD, and books about living a better life with a different brain.

The Curious Neurodivergent
Recently diagnosed (or self-diagnosed) with ADHD/Autism and looking for more to learn.

turns out I’m neurodivergent
Books about AuDHD or neurodiversity from authors I trust

On the Spectrums: ADHD & ASD
Please note I do not support the use of the puzzle piece in relation to ASD; it is included in my emoji description solely for visibility. Neurodiversity-affirming novels, memoirs, and resources – series are represented by the first book only. Recommendations appreciated in the comments!
