That's a nice collection of books! Which one is your favourite so far?

Thank you!! So far my favourite is Unmasked by Ellie Middleton! That was the first book I read after my diagnoses so it holds a special place in my heart! Plus it’s such a great book for beginners!

This book is on my interested shelf. I might check it out in the future.

I hope you like it if you get around to reading it!

This is a great collection of resources! Some other books (oops, this list got kind of long—hope that’s ok!) that might fit well here:

  • Welcome to AuDHD: How to Survive (and Thrive) as an Adult with Autism and ADHD by Megan Griffith
  • The Neurodivergent Friendly Workbook of DBT Skills by Sonny Jane Wise

ADHD

  • The Simple Guide to ADHD Regulation: The Secret to Finding Balance, Getting Things Done, and Enjoying Your Life by Jenna Free
  • How to ADHD: An Insider's Guide to Working with Your Brain (Not Against It) by Jessica McCabe

Autism

  • Taking Off the Mask: Practical Exercises to Help Understand and Minimise the Effects of Autistic Camouflaging by Hannah Louise Belcher
  • Looking After Your Autistic Self: A Personalised Self-care Approach to Managing Your Sensory and Emotional Well-being by Niamh Garvey
  • Is This Autism? (A Guide for Clinicians and Everyone Else) by Donna Henderson
  • The Autistic Survival Guide to Therapy by Stephanie Jones
  • I Overcame My Autism and All I Got Was This Lousy Anxiety Disorder: A Memoir by Sarah Kurchak

Looking after your autistic self was surprisingly useful early on for me, despite how sparse it is. Seconding Is this autism!

First, there’s Unmasking for Life by Devon Price as well! Going to go comment on someone else’s to second some other recs too. I want to get to the autistic trans guide to life.

I also want to read empire of normality and remeber there’s a graphic novel called sensory by a bex. And uncomfortable labels is a trans autistic memoir. And Sol’s Autistics guide to self discovery and Tamora Rosier’s Your Brains Not Broken (adhd).

Also reccomending looking Into books on PDA. I know of PDA paradox. There’s also a book called Ineroception and Regulation by Goodall that could be helpful for some struggling with that aspect or getting the terms to click.
