An emergent subgrene by and about strange women on themes of female rage, sisterhood, hunger, attraction, beauty, motherhood, violence, and much more.

every struggled to find actual lesbian/sapphic books when at the library or bookstore? so did I!

bc of said struggle, I started to curate a personal list of books that either has lesbian MCs and/or featured a primary sapphic romance.

i haven't read all of these, but I do try my diligence in confirming that they meet the above perimeters, since many books claim to be sapphic when they're not. this is an ever updating list, only fiction for now!

Books that are part of 3 or more quests ✨for easier planning! Initially thought of making this on my shelf, hope the members of pb find this helpful!! (The list is incomplete, I'm working on checking & adding new quest books🙌🏻 thanks for the love ❤️🥹)

in progress

Basically, a huge list of every book I ever heard features sapphic characters.

I have not read all of these, so I cannot be sure of the amount of the time on page of the sapphic characters or of the quality of the books.

Some of these I do not plan to read at all, since they are not my style. If you feel like a book doesn't belong here, let me know.

For my favs / read, check out my other lists & shelves.

Open to suggestions for more titles.

Don't shoot the messenger.

litfic and historical fiction with the sapphic yearning turned allll the way up!

suggestions welcome 🫡

although i am not jewish myself, i believe thoroughly that zionism is not a requirement for judaism and therefore it must be accepted to proudly support jewish voices against the genocide. here are some books by anti-zionist authors to support this jewish american heritage month and beyond!

All the lesbians books I can find. If you have any book you want me to add please comment ❤️

queer historical fiction! comment recs or books that should be added<3

my personal wlw library so… a lot of classic lesbian lit, basically

Any book with an mc over 30, whose character arch involves themes common in coming of age stories like, questioning their upbringing or experiencing some aspect of the world/ relationships/ common experience for the first time or learning who they truly are/ what’s important to them/ being themselves authentically for the first time ect.

books that feel:

claustrophobic like the summer heat like stifling longing flushed cheeks like unbidden realisations melancholically sweet like painful emptiness existential like utter confusion

I haven’t read all book on this list (yet). Feedback regarding books/authors is welcome🫶🏻 PLS CHECK TW

musical inspiration: fourth of july - Sufjan Stevens Habibi - Tamino implosion - Labrinth now, run - Hania Rani ozean - AnnenMayKantereit

The only queer & GNC lists/quests I’ve seen have been genre. I love them, but I wanted to also curate a list of literary fiction with LGBTQIA+ characters and themes!

pink, sophisticated & sometimes fatale <3 curating the personality of my aspirations (added some essential nonfic & poetry!)

Aka Dua Lipa’s reading list. Everyone’s fave popstar on permanent holiday with a massive list of books to read, and she always seems to have incredible recommendations.

I am not part of Service95 or affiliated with Dua Lipa. I am just a fan curating this list based on the @service95bookclub IG account 💋

Debut novels that feel like they were written by seasoned writers. Whether it be because of the author's clear voice, the depth of the themes or the quality of the prose, you'll be surprised that this is the author's first published novel

Note: The authors featured may have published other works, like short story collections or plays, but the book featured here is their first novel

feminine rage, (mostly sapphic) yearning and general vibes that would make hozier, mitski and florence + the machine proud. inspired by the amazing mimi_reads & astraios! suggestions welcome<3

books with a painting/artwork on the cover see the pinned comment for artwork details suggestions welcome 🚧this list is under construction🚧

Stories that tell the tale of sapphic life and love throughout time
