Recs if you like Mermaids Never Drown: Tales to Dive For (Untold Legends, 2)...

Pirates, sailors, mermaids, sirens, selkies, tentancle monsters - if they live on/in the ocean and are queer, they've earned a spot on this list! Across genres and age groups - includes erotica. 🔞🔞🔞

Recommendations welcome!

✦ I have not read all of these books - if you notice anything that seems to be mis-labeled/mis-placed on this list, please let me know! ✦

Short story, essays, comics, and/or poetry collections focusing on queer and trans folks. Please note: there are some collections listed where not every story is queer, but there is intersectionality, and since that is important, I have included them.

These short story anthology collections are sci-fi fantasy focused. Some stories in the collection may take a darker edge and lean grimdark or horror.

Short stories are delightful, skillful, and engaging! Don’t like a story? Put it down. Love a specific author? Buy a collection of their works. Want to find new authors? Read an anthology. They can span any genre and go in any direction—have fun reading them!

Zoraida Córdova AKA Zoey Castille joined us to talk about mermaids. These are the books we recommended.

Anthologies of fiction or comics that are either specifically themed around or prominently feature queer characters, stories, or authors

Some of these Ive read and some I havent yet. I've just noticed a pattern and wanted to share. Partially inspired by the lovely list 'Queer Anthologies' by kathytrithardt !! Always open to suggestions!

An anthology for each genre. I've been loving anthologies recently so please let me know of any others out there :)
