Recs if you like Dead Dead Girls (Harlem Renaissance Mystery, #1)...

in progress

Basically, a huge list of every book I ever heard features sapphic characters.

I have not read all of these, so I cannot be sure of the amount of the time on page of the sapphic characters or of the quality of the books.

Some of these I do not plan to read at all, since they are not my style. If you feel like a book doesn't belong here, let me know.

For my favs / read, check out my other lists & shelves.

Open to suggestions for more titles.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Historical fiction books with queer characters

A list of (mostly) mystery books with sapphic main characters.

I included some books of other genres that have a strong mystery element.

step into the glittering world of the 1920s, most commonly known as the roaring twenties or the jazz age. this list features books set within that time period, capturing the culture of western society in a post-war time of economic prosperity, artistic exploration, and social rebellion. all genres.

Queer genre fiction set in a world different from our reality, whether set in a different time, a different world, or in a version of our world but with different rules. Perfect for the reader looking for a little escapism in their next queer read 📚✨

Books where the main character is black and part of the lgbt community! A lot of these came from recommendations on a post I made here, thank you to everyone who replied! And feel free to recommend more! :)

Some books that have lgbtqia+ characters as mains solving mysteries (some of these are paranormal/fantasy) hehe

List of books with queer representation AND mystery. Can be murder mystery but not necessarily! (ps : I haven't read all the books in this list so if they suck it's not because I have bad taste)

Stories set in the past across different genres, including prominent sapphic characters and/or relationships. This list includes a large variety of genres, tones, and moods.

Murder Mysteries with Female Detectives, of diverse ages, races, sexualities, and circumstances.
