This list covers books across time by French authors (as in people that have the nationality no matter their origins) and can hopefully incentivize crossovers with the Francophonie mon amour list!

Essential Francophone Lit: Classics & Contemporary
A collection of acclaimed classic and contemporary Francophone literature. I chose to classify as Francophone rather than French in order to include authors who wrote in French but were/are not of French nationality, especially authors from colonised countries. Non-exhaustive as I'm not an expert I am keeping this list to one book per author but suggestions very welcome! :)

This list is from the BookTube Channel "Tristan and the Classics" in 2022. It is compiled from quite a few best or most influential book lists. He does have a disclaimer on how everyone will have their own top 50 list. He also talks about how the books are just a list of books. However, there is one that I am not sure I will ever read. The YouTuber, also said he would never read the same book.

Reading Through the Decades, 1807-1997
A simple reading through the decades (1807-1997) challenge focused on deeply flawed characters and societal critiques with a few slight thematic depatures to keep things fresh because that's how I like to read. Some decades are repesented more heavily than others. I put this together in an attempt to make myself a more widely-read person. Suggestions welcome!
