This list brings together fiction from around the world that documents historical events or periods of time. Titles in this list aren't necessarily "historical fiction" but do have an important historical element to them.

I find fiction is an easy media to help educate me about world history I never learned in school. These titles aim to bring to light historical events that may not be taught in schools!

I'm a huge fan of Maisie's music and her newest album Florescence has been playing nonstop since it came out. She's a passionate reader, so over the years many books recommendations have accumulated and I thought it would be cute to make a list out of them. Info taken from her Goodreads and Instagram accounts, newsletter, podcast, and various interviews she did. I will update this list as new recs come up, but if I miss something feel free to suggest it in the comments.

Enjoy my newest lit series ‘Reading the World’, in an attempt to diversify your own reading and broaden horizons I have included a mix of genres. Sensitive topics often lie ahead as history, social and political issues are usually the centre of this writing. Enjoy!
