What a great and comprehensive list!! Thanks! Which books would you recommend most?
I haven't read most of these because I'd never even heard of them until I found Jamin Anderson on Instagram. She talks about each of these in more detail if you want to check her out and hear what she got from most of them. The one on this list I have read, which I think everyone should read, is Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler.
The one I've seen her recommend the most is African Dominion by Michael Gomez, which wasn't on here somehow. "It's dense, but it's worth it," was her endorsement.
Thank you! Also gonna go check her Instagram!
Any book by Chimamanda is pretty great. I also highly recommended “exterminate all the brutes”, and as a Brazilian one that is actually not here: “The dark side of the skin”
Added!
Needs to be a quest! It's so thoroughly done. Good job and thanks! I'm so excited.
I read several of these in French in college focusing on Francophone African literature. So cool to find their English versions here!!! Thank you for putting together.
