Speculative (sci-fi, fantasy, horror etc.) novellas less than 200 pages long that are either standalone or read like a standalone story

whether it's straight-up Jane Austen retellings, set in an alternative regency-era England, or a whole new world that has those prim and proper vibes, these books all introduce magic, spells, and perhaps even a bit of whimsy into the familiar regency setting (may also contain Victorian or Gregorian-era like fantasy novels, since they can have a lot of overlap in vibes!)

I went through all the books in the romance quest tab and here are all the ones where at least one of leads is in a relationship that is not "man and woman falling in love with each other." This week, while dwelling on my favorite genre, which does cross into Romantasy territory, I felt we really needed a more refined one for those of us who prefer queer ships, so I came up with this idea in my mind, then made a shelf.
