This is a list for novels about wars other than World Wars I & II. It is intended to expand one’s knowledge about conflicts often ignored due to the eurocentrism and whiteness of the publishing industry (and how those conflicts are often the result of western actions). Please feel free to recommend books!

I didn't realize until recently just how much historical fiction set in a war time is about WWI or WWII. This is such a neat list!!
I love this list!! I recommend As Long as the Lemon Trees Grow, it's set to the backdrop of the Syrian revolution/civil war. Another recommendation is Weep Not, Child, it talks about the Mau Mau uprising against the white colonists in Kenya.
