The International Prize for Arabic Fiction is the most prestigious literary prize in the Arab world.

Its aim is to reward excellence in contemporary Arabic creative writing and to encourage the readership of high quality Arabic literature internationally through the translation and publication of winning and shortlisted novels in other major languages.

*I had to use a different novel by Ibrahim Nasrallah as a placeholder, because I couldn't find a version of his winning novel, idem for Zahran Alqasmi.

*The quite recent winners Abdelouahab Aissaoui and Mohamed Samir Nada are missing from this list because their works aren't translated (yet). If they are by the time you read this comment, let me know and I'll add them.
