When shit happens, knit happens

Fiction books that have a character who knits or crochets ✨ So beware, these people have needles and know how to use them 🧶⚔️ (pls imagine the swords as two crossed knitting needles, and yes we really should have that as an emoji)

At this point I am not sure if yarn really is cheaper than therapy, buuuut it is still fun and great for stress relief, and I love coming across characters who share a hobby with me 😍

Okay what a list! I’ve discovered Real men Knit this week and have it in my TBR now and I have read T.Kingfisher’s book that here and the knitting is so cute there!🥹🤎

First of all, special shoutout to Dr Fionn Kane from Scythe and Sparrow (by Brynne Weaver), who inspired me to create this list 🙂‍↕️😍🧶🩺

Book recs are always very welcome and I would be super grateful to find more books where:

1) a man is the needlework aficionado (because nothing is better than breaking gender stereotypes) 2) or books where crochet is mentioned, since this craft seems to be a bit neglected in favor of knitting, and we need more crochet rep in books

But obviously I am happy about any recommendation whatsoever, even without these tropes. Also, I haven’t read every single book here, so please correct me if I am wrong somewhere 🥰

Also in case anyone was curious, yes, the frog emoji in the list description is a reference to frogging (aka unraveling) your project, and yes I am proud of having thought of that one 🐸😂🧶
