Revenge of the Witches!
Here we support witches rights and their wrongs! Within this list some witches are the 'villains' and some are the protagonists, but either way the key is that they are out for revenge against those who have wronged them and others! (beware some revenges are more satisfying than others)

i would be cautious reading slewfoot, as it portrays indigenous people in a negative and demonizing way! but otherwise this list is fab
yeah, I do agree with the criticisms the book has faced with its portrayal of indigenous people, as well as the concerns about how violence towards women is portrayed especially with the author being male. Though, sadly horror revenge with a witch as an MC is still quite niche in novels especially with Slewfoot's folk-horror elements which is why I did include it, but those criticisms are always good to have noted so thank you for adding the comment!
so so true unfortunately! we need more witchy girl rep!
Yeah, I think in recent years there have been a lot of witchy books but horror is still a bit all over and I think cozy witches are having their moment more than anything (which I also love lol). But I am hoping that the recent trend of more violent and gory women MC horrors does give us the starting point to get more witch revenge ones!
