I'm maybe considering getting into Christie. Which of the series do you recommend to start with? And also, with the Poirot one, there are so many, do they have to be read in a spesific order?

The books are not exactly linked in any way, just grouped by the detective (Poirot/Miss Marple/Tommy & Tuppence, etc) so they don’t have to be read in order. I’ve never read any of them in order myself đŸ€Ł I just go with whichever title sounds the most interesting to me.

If you’re new to Christie and have never read any of her works before, I highly recommend “And Then There Were None” as well as “Murder on the Orient Express”. These two titles are incredible and they’ve stuck with me years after I’ve read them.

Otherwise, if you’re looking to test the waters and get an intro to the detectives, I recommend reading ”Three Blind Mice and Other Stories”. It includes short stories from Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, and Harley Quin. â˜ș

Thank you! It makes it easier knowing I can just pick up whichever book, and not miss context from earlier books. My audiobook site don’t have all of them, so I was worrying

You’re welcome!! I hope you enjoy the books if you do decide to read them 😊

Miss Marple books, imo, are easier to read than Poirot. They're also shorter, iirc. So maybe if you're just starting out and are looking for maybe easier reads.

For the Poirot books I think there isn't really an order? I think I started it out kind of randomly and then decided to read according to the year published.

I hope you enjoy! I adore Agatha Christie's murder mysteries - they're so tantalizing, haha.

Did you enjoy the Poirot books more after you started reading them in publication order?

Hmm. I'd say it made no difference 😅 I only did it to make sure I read all the Poirot books, it was easier to track that way, haha.
