Why are all these people making this into a episode of trauma olympics?

Forgot how tiny the font is on the printed books for this series. This book is 707 pages, but I'd say it it was printed in a larger more typical font probably closer to 800ish 😅

Years ago, this was making the rounds on Booktok as a great dark academia book. Where is the academia in this exactly? Sure, they're technically in school, but that is in no way the main part of the book. Maybe it'll be more central later.

Trying to get a rock out of the ground is not a Sisyphean task. Because once you've done it, you're done. If it was a Sisyphean task, there would be no end in sight.

The next time I read a Kingfisher book, I will go into it without the anticipation of a cozy fantasy. This was good, but not what I was expecting.

I think it's impressive to write a thriller with so many povs, and to make it short but still good. Still time for the reader to speculate.
