What are the books that no matter how much people recommend them, or how much hype there is around them, you're still never going to read? For me, it's anything Brandon Sanderson 🫣

Thank you for all the suggestions of prompts to put in my TBR jar! I thought I'd share the final list I came up with in case anyone else wants to do this too: * Title starts with one of your initials * Alliteration in title or author name * Part of a series * Spine matches my outfit * Finish something you paused/DNFd * Memoir * Non fiction (not a memoir) * Something that intimidates you * First on the shelf * Last on the shelf * A gift * Owned 5 years or longer * By an author read once before * Owned in multiple formats * Monochromatic cover * Published before you were born * One word title * Five word title * Something epic * Highlighter coloured spine * Vibe of the current season * Short stories or essays * Gothic energy * Author has a backlist of 10+ * Set between 1950 and 2000 * Set between 1850 and 1949 * Set before 1849 * Under 222 pages * Over 444 pages * Strongly recommended * Something mysterious * About the chaos of fame * About the arts: music, art or literature * A person's name in the title * A retelling * About siblings or friends * Most popular colour on shelves * Least popular colour on shelves * Set somewhere with cuisine I love * Purchased in 2025 * Adapted to film or TV * Bought new * Set ouside the UK and US * Features magical creatures * Written by a male author * Plants on the cover * Features death/grief/tragedy * POC author * By an author read from 5+ years ago * Cover is opposite to your last read on the colour wheel * Less that 50 pages longer than last read * Title starts with an author initial from last read * Published in a different decade to last read * First letter of title matches last letter of title of last read * Same spine colour as last read * Author's name starts with same letter as author of last read * Spine is the same colour as the author's name of last read * Title has 2 more words than last read * Set in a different country to last read * Author comes later alphabetically than author of last book * Author comes earlier alphabetically than author of last book * Set in a different century than last read * First letter of author's name matches last letter of author's name from last book Excited to start using these!

I was thinking about that the other day and I’m actually wondering what book y’all would be interested to see adapted on screen?

Pagebound has made it so much easier to plan my tbr in the planning feature here. I've just spent hours putting in a bunch a books, and doing the math of how many books i think i can get through in a month. So now i have a detailed plan that i will most likely deviate from quite alot... The impulse control is never present when i come over a pretty book in a bookstore. They have to be read immediately. But i had fun planning my reading year atleast. According to the plan I'm going to struggle to meet my book goal this year, but whatever. Maybe I'll just change it in december.
