I'm maybe considering getting into Christie. Which of the series do you recommend to start with? And also, with the Poirot one, there are so many, do they have to be read in a spesific order?
The books are not exactly linked in any way, just grouped by the detective (Poirot/Miss Marple/Tommy & Tuppence, etc) so they donât have to be read in order. Iâve never read any of them in order myself đ€Ł I just go with whichever title sounds the most interesting to me.
If youâre new to Christie and have never read any of her works before, I highly recommend âAnd Then There Were Noneâ as well as âMurder on the Orient Expressâ. These two titles are incredible and theyâve stuck with me years after Iâve read them.
Otherwise, if youâre looking to test the waters and get an intro to the detectives, I recommend reading âThree Blind Mice and Other Storiesâ. It includes short stories from Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, and Harley Quin. âșïž
Miss Marple books, imo, are easier to read than Poirot. They're also shorter, iirc. So maybe if you're just starting out and are looking for maybe easier reads.
For the Poirot books I think there isn't really an order? I think I started it out kind of randomly and then decided to read according to the year published.
I hope you enjoy! I adore Agatha Christie's murder mysteries - they're so tantalizing, haha.
