This book is... I don't even know how to describe it. Like nostalgia choking your throat. Feelings that once overwhelmed you that came knocking, reminding you how something painful once felt.

"Whoever you were, there was a chance that you would end up wanting to run away from a job you once believed in, that you would stray from the path you were on."
And then, at the very end,
"You never knew what was going to happen, whatever you did. You just had to give it your all, and hope for the best. Hope like anything it would turn out alright."
Oh, don't we all. I love it.
Would it be weird to say that i enjoyed this immensely? It doesn't exactly have a plot - and when you start getting invested into her job, she up and leaves and starts another, and sometimes without closure and without you truly understanding her reasons. It's also interesting to note that she actually does very, very well in all the jobs she takes, and yet she is unhappy and asks to be given another job. She unwittingly makes friends she can still reach out to even after moving jobs, and to be honest, I feel like she's quite a wonderful, passionate person who just got burnt out. It makes one glad she has the patience of Mrs. Masakado providing her with the jobs she might be interested in, taking in her inputs and being so kind. We all could do with a Mrs. Masakado in our lives. Honestly, I'd love to read more about her job experiences, this was such a calming but interesting read.
