The Tales of Beatrix Potter

Beatrix Potter was an English writer, illustrator, natural scientist, and conservationist, and shared her love of the natural world through her watercolour paint palette and the children’s books she wrote and illustrated herself. However, these stories are so universal they can be enjoyed by any age alike!

This series is also known as “The World of Beatrix Potter” and also “The World of Peter Rabbit”

I've realised that there's some discrepancy over the order of the books in the series and thought it'd be wise to clarify: the publication order of the books is different from the chronological events within the books, Beatrix Potter going back and creating new stories about earlier characters. At present I'm researching the Chronological order of the books (several sources state several different opinions) and so until I have a definite answer, I shall share only the publication order for the time being:

Publication Order:

  1. The Tale of Peter Rabbit
  2. The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin
  3. The Tailor of Gloucester
  4. The Tale of Benjamin Bunny
  5. The Tale of Two Bad Mice
  6. The Tale of Mrs Tiggy-Winkle
  7. The Tale of Mr Jeremy Fisher
  8. The Tale of Tom Kitten
  9. The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck
  10. The Tale of The Flopsy Bunnies
  11. The Tale of Mrs Tittlemouse
  12. The Tale of Timmy Tiptoes
  13. The Tale of Johnny Town-Mouse
  14. The Tale of Mr Tod
  15. The Tale of Pigling Bland
  16. The Tale of Samuel Whiskers or The Roly-Poly Pudding
  17. The Tale of The Pie and The Patty Pan
  18. The Tale of Ginger and Pickles
